What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Engineer position at Aegis Worldwide?
Aegis is seeking a quality engineer to join our clients organization in Chicago. The ideal candidate has the following skills:
- 5 years of experience working in quality
- Machine shop industry experience, machine builder or having experiencing working for a OEM.
- QMS system experience- Triangle is working on implementation of a new QMS system- ideally someone who has been apart of an implementation previously.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) – Proficiency in process monitoring tools such as control charts, histograms, and capability studies.
- Knowledge of 3-A Sanitary Standards and other industry-specific quality management systems.- this does not need to be 3-A specific but, having experience with regulations from previous roles.
- GD&T – Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply tolerances effectively.
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Knowledge of machining, welding, casting, forming, and other production techniques.
- CAD system experience- Solidworks, AutoCAD, Unigraphics NX so that would be most ideal.
- Able to read blueprints & schematics.
Nice to have:
- Bachelors degree in engineering principal.
- Lean six sigma- black belt or similar.
- Experience with root cause analysis and CI initiatives.
- Experience with CAPA- Handling defects, deviations, and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
- Ability to identify risks and potential failure points using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
