Our prominent client is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. This is a Direct Hire position with a competitive base salary & benefits.

Position Overview

The  Senior Accountant  plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance within the company’s automotive manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for financial planning & analysis (FP&A), month-end close activities, internal controls, audits, and supporting special projects. The role reports to the  Senior Controller  and works closely with cross-functional teams to improve financial efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal financial policies
• Analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct standard cost updates and variance analysis to track production efficiencies.
• Monitor inventory valuation, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-range financial plans.
• Conduct financial analysis on actual vs. forecasted performance, providing insights and recommendations.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX and company policies.
• Maintain and improve financial controls to mitigate risk and enhance accuracy.
• Utilize  SAP, Hyperion, or similar ERP systems  for financial reporting and data analysis.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports to support leadership and operational teams
• Assist with system upgrades, process automation, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital expenditures and financial planning for new projects.
