Aegis is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our clients organization in Elmwood Park, IL.
This manager will oversee receiving, handling, storing, picking, shipping as well as other warehouse functions to meet or exceed operational goals. The goal of the Warehouse Operations Manager is to achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment tasks, and maintain department budget. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.

Must have:
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Proven leadership skills, including ability to effectively coach teams.
- Experience with inventory cycle counts.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Able to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
- Present KPIs and issues at the daily Gemba walk
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse-Industries to target- OEM, Machine Shop, packing automation machine builders or manufacturers or industrial type of companies.
- Establish strategic initiatives with ROI and budget requirements to meet company goals
- Effective time management skills and ability to maximize individual and team productivity
- Ability to promote a safe working environment while being a role model for safety
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with proven ability to learn complex new software programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering or related.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
