POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION : DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary : The State of Montana (herein State), Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) and Department of Corrections (COR) established multiple contracts to provide professional and allied healthcare staffing services. These services include, but are not limited to, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, and other healthcare positions for all State agencies in need of these services.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Assist inmates with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, eating).
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse).
- Provide basic patient care under RN or physician supervision.
- Monitor and report changes in inmate health or behavior.
- Support infection control and hygiene practices.
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Document care provided in medical records.

Work Environment :
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements :
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 49 pounds.
