POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION : DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary : The State of Montana (herein State), Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) and Department of Corrections (COR) established multiple contracts to provide professional and allied healthcare staffing services. These services include, but are not limited to, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, and other healthcare positions for all State agencies in need of these services.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Dispense and manage medications for inmates / public health programs
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Monitor and prevent potential drug interactions or adverse effects.
- Educate inmates on medication usage and side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to develop treatment plans.
- Maintain medication inventory and security.

Work Environment :
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements :
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 49 pounds.
