We are seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to work a contract role with our client in the financial services industry. 3 years of experience is preferred.
Description:
Shift 2nd shift 4 PM-12 AM
- Install servers and network equipment into cabinets and racks
- CAT6 and fiber optic patch cabling installations and support
- Troubleshoot layer 1, 2, and 3 LAN connections
- Break/Fix hardware maintenance on mission-critical systems (BIOS updates, hard drives, memory, RAID controller)
- Cabinet power load and consumption measurements
- Inventory control for servers, components, and cables using DCIM software
- Develop detailed documentation of operations, best practices, and procedures
- Proactively and independently work on projects as needed
- No vendor or C2C candidates for this role.
Salary : $22 - $24
