Job Summary:
Act as Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for testing of projects for the Operations department. The Operations department services Branches and relevant Front offices to deliver best-in-class client experience & business growth in a controlled environment. Operations is responsible for market Settlement, Payment & Cash Clearing/Funding, post-settlement activities, Reconciliations Control, and Regulatory Reporting
Our client is seeking a dedicated, QA-minded professional who likes to provide practical solutions. Our QA team focuses on testing all software products regardless of their platform. This role will report to a Program Lead in Technology and will be accountable for the core responsibilities identified. This role will require the leadership and coordination of various resources and the delivery of new processes, procedures, and technology, coordinating and conducting validation before product/project launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for testing the front end and back end of the applications supporting the Market business. It is a hands-on position; you will be required to provide test strategy and test estimation, write and execute test cases, and build test automation where it is applicable. Additional responsibilities include working closely with the stakeholders, project manager, business analysts, and application developers, utilizing functional documentation and technical specifications to facilitate the creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts, performing data analysis and creation of test data, and tracking and helping resolve defects. Ensure that all testing is conducted and documented in adherence with company standards.
Skills: Qualifications and Skills:
Experience working with various broker-dealer products, including securities processing of equities and Fixed Income products.
Experience with Broadridge applications, such as Impact and BPS, is a must.
8 to 12 years of experience working in a role experience in delivering Operations projects, familiarity with processes and controls, and Experience with Front office booking systems like Bloomberg is preferred.
Familiar with trade lifecycle from Front to Back Office.
QA Coordinator/Manager with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement and management Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC (Agile and Waterfall) Hands on experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Execution, and Defect Management Hands on experience in creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, functional testing, regression testing, data driven testing and meeting their SLAs Able to independently review and analyze business requirements; evaluate data sources, business rules, etc...
Strong understanding of SQL concepts – must have experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases. Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, TestNG, etc. “Go-getter” attitude.

There is chance of potential extension beyond end date .
Conversion to Full time will depend upon performance during the engagement
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred)
