As a Senior Structural Designer in our Overland Park, KS office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. In this role, you will be responsible for layout and detailing of structural steel and foundations for buildings, equipment, and distribution systems, supporting projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed construction drawings of reinforced concrete structures and foundations, steel supports, steel buildings, and other steel structures.
- Produce 3D models with 2D drawing deliverables.
- Design and draft structural elements and details.
- Complete and review design drawings within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.
Project work encompasses design and layout of concrete foundations and steel structures for new and existing facilities, including central energy plants, manufacturing facilities, food processing facilities, universities, and hospitals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Technical or Associate Degree from an accredited technical institution or college.
- Ability to collaborate with others in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and current versions of REVIT and/or AutoCAD, preferably with knowledge of Plant 3D and Navisworks.
- Experience in interpreting design criteria and developing specific layouts and designs.
- Understanding of applicable design codes and specification requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Competitive Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
