Job Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Compliance:
- Prepare inspection schedules by reviewing permits, plans, and specifications.
- Conduct inspections in Geotechnical, Civil, and Structural disciplines, ensuring work complies with relevant codes and standards.
- Issue notices for corrections, interpret codes, and recommend compliance procedures.
- Record inspection progress, violations, and ensure reports are signed/approved.
- Project Management:
- Define project responsibilities by breaking down phases and assigning personnel.
- Determine project specifications by reviewing designs, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, ensuring activities are coordinated, and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Control project costs and review designs and specifications to recommend corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Follow ISO 17020 and 17025 standards to improve processes and ensure quality results.
- Conduct failure tests, analyze findings, and recommend changes to improve materials, products, and processes.
- Supervise and conduct material and structural component tests and evaluations, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Client Relations:
- Respond to technical questions and requests from clients, ensuring professional and timely service.
- Maintain positive relationships by providing project status reports and recommendations for action.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain a safe work environment by following organizational standards and legal regulations.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all obtained information during inspections and protect the proprietary rights of the company and its clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Required Certifications:
- ACI 1 ACI 2 certification required.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- NY Professional Engineer's License (preferred).
