Job Responsibilities:
- Manage quality-related matters for the project, specifically for heavy construction works, including tunnels and underground works.
- Take authority on all quality control issues related to the construction project.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Licenses/Certifications: New York Professional Engineer (NYPE) license. Professional certifications in Quality Management such as from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or related certifications.
- Experience: At least 20 years of experience in construction quality management, with significant experience in large-scale, complex construction projects like MTA projects.
- Skills:
- Expertise in construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Leadership, team management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with quality management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
- The role involves working on construction sites in varied weather conditions, with possible travel to different project locations.
