What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at AEM-Pro?
This will be located based out of Santa Barbara, CA but will be coverage for commutable locations. You will be paid for your time on commutes.
Note we require people to use their own Personal Vehicle and target vehicles that go 25 MPG. We deliver auto-parts to the local area.
You will be compensated your hourly rate at $16.75/hr .29 cents for each mile driven. On average our Drivers do about 100 miles a day.
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various driving conditions.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Follow designated routes for efficient delivery while being adaptable to changes as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Requirements
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Experience in route driving or as a courier preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
