Overview:
The Cybersecurity Architect leads the design and integration of secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise-wide security architecture across IT, OT, applications, and network infrastructure. This role ensures security requirements are fully embedded in the organization’s systems and technical architecture, supporting both business and mission-critical operations.
Experience:
- 8 years in cybersecurity, cloud security, or enterprise architecture.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity threats, risk management, security frameworks, and enterprise technologies.
- Proven ability to integrate security into existing architectures and recommend forward-looking solutions.
- Strong experience across a range of technologies including Unix/Windows, TCP/IP, cryptography, application security, mobile devices, and database systems.
- Proficiency in secure programming across languages such as Python, Java, C , SQL, and scripting tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), AWS Certified Security, GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture aligned with enterprise goals, spanning infrastructure, applications, networks (including wireless), OT, and end-user environments.
- Collaborate with internal architects and teams to ensure consistent implementation of security best practices.
- Develop secure technical solutions, architecture standards, and migration strategies that support enterprise transformation and resilience.
- Act as a cybersecurity SME in high-level strategic planning, project implementation, and technology adoption decisions.
- Advise project teams on secure system design, integration, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct technical assessments, cost analysis, and detailed work estimation for security-related initiatives.
- Lead evaluation of emerging technologies and pilot new tools to improve security posture.
- Support compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and internal standards (e.g., SOX, SCADA security).
- Mentor team members and contribute to enterprise documentation, filings, and incident response readiness.
Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
