Responsible for providing support to distribution dispatch personnel in the outage management service restoration process. This includes assisting dispatch personnel in the effective use of AEP outage and distribution management systems and assisting some cool Resources System development support.Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
**This position can be located in Roanoke, VA, Tulsa, OK, Shreveport, LA, and Ft. Wayne, IN**
Investigate, analyze and resolve application issues with no direction from senior staff.
Lead the identification of product defects, correction and implementation activities for multiple applications.
Coordinate application training plans and the development of training material.
Conduct dispatcher training schools and provide input to the distribution dispatch training program.
Perform data analysis and assist in the development of reports with no direction from senior staff.
Coordinate the development of business processes and associated application requirements.
Provide assistance and guidance to employees across the corporation in the proper use of applications (Tier 3 level) and develop longer term plans to mitigate issue(s).
Coordinate application testing and the development of test plans.
Provide extended support to distribution dispatch centers during storms or elevated outage conditions.
Dispatch Support Analyst: ($72,380 - $90,475)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or a related field with two years of dispatching or related experience,
- OR Associate's degree in engineering, IT, or a related field with four years of dispatching or related experience,
- OR High school diploma or GED and six years of dispatching or related experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1) Demonstrates good listening skills and a sincere understanding of client business needs. Ask questions to clarify or verify understanding. Relates on a personal level; positive friendly and engaging. Outgoing and comfortable in diverse groups.
2) Uses Communications Technology (voicemail, e-mail, Internet) effectively balancing act with appropriate face to face communications.
3) Able to read the reactions of an audience just delivery style to fit the audience
4) Able to develop and present business documents and reports clearly, concisely and effectively Demonstrate strong training and presentation skills.
