Job Summary
Please note: This is an "onsite" position, and you will need to report to the listed work location 5 days a week.You will design graphics, retouch photos, layout external facing proposal documents and work on our digital properties. Additionally, you will help organize the documents and provide UX support for our projects as well.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support the design of web sites and other interactive media products, applying understanding of design concepts and principles, as well as knowledge of technical requirements and limitations of the medium involved. Produce comps, make designs production-ready, create required production elements for projects.
- Design visual graphics for external facing projects and proposals. Create finished, and production-ready designs and have the ability to optimize elements for production.
- Provide UX consultation and writing as needed for our projects, working with an editor and/or the client to ensure that appropriate information is being captured.
- Work within our design systems; adapt and apply brand concepts as appropriate.
- Identify and propose process improvements based on up-to-date understanding of current design trends and UX philosophies.
- Investigate and assess capabilities of new design tools and software as they become available.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Interactive Designer:
Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in fine arts OR Associate's Degree with 2 years of professional interactive design or design experience.
Work Experience: Minimum of one year of professional experience in interactive design or design in addition to any experience noted above.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical demand level is Sedentary
- Incumbent must have experience in web design, animation and graphic production for electronic media, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects on deadline and within budget.
- The incumbent must also have an awareness of information architecture and human-computer interface usability, and be able to integrate these concepts into effective design.
- Technical development and production capability is a valuable addition to this position and will be strongly preferred.
Interactive Designer Sr.:
(85,081.00 - 127,624.00 USD Annual)
Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in design OR Associate's degree in design and three years of professional experience in design or interactive design.
Work Experience: Minimum of three years of professional experience in design or interactive design, in addition to any experience noted above.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Incumbent must have proven expertise in web design and graphic production for electronic media; proven ability to manage the design aspects of web projects throughout site life cycles, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects on deadline and within budget. The incumbent must also have an understanding of information architecture and human-computer interface usability, and be able to integrate these concepts into effective design.
- Technical development and production capability will be strongly preferred.
- 2D and/or 3D animation skills will be strongly preferred.
