Position : Lab Operations Technician
Work Location : 100% ONSITE – Summit, NJ
Work Schedule : Mon - Fri, Business Hours
Number of Positions : 2
The individual will work the same first-shift hours and will serve both the Summit and Warren sites . Initially, the schedule will be 3 days in Warren and 2 days in Summit after training. By the end of the year, the schedule will transition to 5 days in Summit .
Key Responsibilities :
Learn and follow lab-specific procedures and policies.
Provide a customer service experience to end users and collaborate to ensure objectives are completed in a timely manner.
Check, rotate, order, and stock consumable inventory within the lab environment.
Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation including pipettes, balances, centrifuges, flow cytometers, and other analytical equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on lab equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as necessary.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on equipment issues to resolve problems and reduce downtime.
Schedule and escort vendors to perform duties onsite per company policy for repairs, maintenance, calibrations, and installations .
Plan and schedule vendors for routine maintenance and calibrations on a monthly basis and ensure KPI completion.
Complete and review documentation for completeness using Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) .
Experience with quality systems documentation to draft, review, and approve using electronic documentation management software .
Experience using CMMS software , such as Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management (BMRAM) or Maximo .
Apply 5S organization standards to optimize laboratory organization.
Perform general maintenance of the CTDO laboratories .
Knowledge and use of electronic quality documentation systems .
Qualifications & Experience :
3–4 years experience in a pharmaceutical lab environment .
B.S. or higher in Sciences or Engineering .
Routine lab maintenance experience.
Supply chain inventory management experience.
Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience (preferred).
Experience using CMMS software .
Experience with electronic documentation management software .
GDocP experience is a plus.
Experience using electronic quality management systems .
5S experience is a plus.
Transportation required for occasional travel between sites.
