Job Title : Distribution Management Expert (DM Expert)

Location : Ridgefield, CT (Hybrid role)

Duration : 24 months

Hybrid schedule : 2 days onsite and 3 days remote in a week.

Training : 6 months of training will be provided.

Job Description :

The Distribution Management (DM) Expert independently directs the worldwide distribution of investigational medicinal products for the projects (IMP) and studies assigned in clinical studies of all phases.

This includes independent development, planning, and optimization of the distribution strategy, as well as driving, controlling, and monitoring of external service providers even for highly complex and innovative study designs.

Accountabilities :

Oversee global distribution of IMPs for assigned clinical studies.

Develop, plan, and optimize distribution strategies.

Manage and monitor external distribution partners (DPs).

Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and study-specific requirements.

Act as a consultant and subject matter expert (SME) in distribution.

Represent DM in projects, committees, and cross-functional teams.

Manage vendor relationships and optimize distribution processes.

Mentor new employees and oversee training schedules.

Ensure timely and risk-mitigated IMP delivery to clinical sites.

Oversee import / export, temperature monitoring, and biosafety compliance.

Collaborate with CD&O on distribution strategy and customs matters.

Implement workflow improvements and drive process optimizations.

Ensure IT / IRT systems support study needs and patient care.

Skills :

3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on International or Global Clinical Supply and Logistics, Distribution, and Shipping.

Good understanding of the clinical development processes and GMP / GDP.

Education :

Bachelor's degree in science or distribution management with minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry in a relevant field.
