Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of server systems, networking equipment, cloud platforms, and GxP environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to support the organization's operational and strategic goals, including the operationalization of security policies.
- Build, hire, and lead a talented IT operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Provide white-glove IT services to the leadership team, ensuring their technology needs are met with the highest level of service.
- Lead day-to-day IT operations, ensuring seamless and secure operations across all platforms.
- Manage IT projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion, adhering to established timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system performance, anticipate potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
- Measure and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with third-party vendors to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments to align IT systems and solutions with business needs and objectives.
- Ensure data is handled, transferred, or processed according to legal and company guidelines, maintaining data integrity and security.
- Operationalize security policies, ensuring all IT operations comply with industry standards and regulations, particularly within GxP environments.
- Oversee the implementation and validation of GxP and SAS environments, ensuring they meet the company's needs and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain oversight of security operations, ensuring continuous monitoring and enhancement of IT security measures.
- Liaise with managed service providers (MSPs) to oversee cloud operations such as Azure, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive IT management experience in a fast-moving, dynamic organization, preferably within the biotech sector.
- Strong understanding of IT-related technologies, including cloud computing, networking, server management, and GxP environments.
- Proven experience in building and leading IT operations teams and developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery in regulated environments.
- Deep understanding of data handling, transfer, and processing in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including operationalizing security policies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide white-glove service to senior leadership.
- Experience in dynamic and high-growth biotech environments.
- Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant cloud certifications.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
- Hands-on experience with GxP compliance and validated systems.
