Job Description
We are seeking hard-working, safety-minded oilfield operators for our Ventura lease. We are looking for individuals who have operator experience and are flexible on when they work; must be willing to work shifts that are days and / or nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job duties include but are not limited to :
Drive lease roads to ensure a high level of environmental compliance
Must have a valid CA driver's license
Troubleshoot oil field equipment, examples include :
Pump off controllers
Pumping units
Pumps
Dehydration facilities (FWKO's)
Production facilities
Water filtration facilities
Automatic Well Testing Stations (AWTs)
Air compressors
Valves
Gas compression systems, including engines / motors
Instrumentation
Tanks
Vapor recovery systems
Use HMI software to monitor field operations and make adjustments as needed
Use trends to identify issues before they arise
Bring wells back online and turn off wells using computer systems
Utilize SAP, XSPOC, and other company-specific computer systems and programs for data entry and well management
Knowledge of field operations as required for job
Ability to drive on unpaved roads for extended periods of time
Navigate uneven surfaces
Discretionary lifting, no greater than 50 pounds
Working outdoors
Climbing of steps, stairwells, hills to sites, etc.
Able to work in an outdoor field environment
Able to wear personal protective equipment when required
Required Skills
Must be able to work safely and follow procedures
Working knowledge of oil field operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
Ability to execute and prioritize work
Must be able to collaborate and work effectively with others
Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to use data to solve problems and conduct basic failure analysis on processes / equipment (logical thinking).
Ability to use available technology (iPads, phones, laptops, computers, etc...)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
Follow all programs and policies, including health safety and environmental policies
Ability to work with little or no direct work oversight
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience as an oilfield operator, or similar
