How will your role make an impact at Aera Therapeutics?
Reporting to the Director of Delivery Technologies, you will lead process development and scale up efforts across our lipid nanoparticle (LNP) platform, and collaborate with analytical sciences and an in vivo core team to support large-scale in vivo studies. You will require expertise at producing and characterizing mid- and large-scale LNP formulations.

How will your role make an impact at Aera Therapeutics?
Reporting to the Director of Delivery Technologies, you will lead process development and scale up efforts across our lipid nanoparticle (LNP) platform, and collaborate with analytical sciences and an in vivo core team to support large-scale in vivo studies. You will require expertise at producing and characterizing mid- and large-scale LNP formulations.
You Will
- Design, optimize, and scale up processes for LNP production from milliliter to liter scales
- Provide formulation support for non-GLP large animal studies (e.g., exploratory toxicology, PK, and/or PD studies)
- Work with external CDMOs to support process transfer, scale-up, and GxP manufacturing
- Formulate and characterize LNPs for preclinical studies
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain records of all relevant data in the electronic laboratory notebook system and present findings to internal project teams
- MS ( 8 years experience), or PhD ( 4 years experience) in an engineering or life sciences discipline
- Expertise in formulation and process development of LNPs
- Familiarity with common nanoparticle characterization methods
- Experience with tangential flow filtration system
- Experience with different style pumps
