JOB SUMMARY
AerCap Materials, Inc. is hiring for a Purchasing Manager. This role is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and purchasing aircraft and engine material to support our ongoing, global sales operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand industry standards for repairs, documentation, and commercial trace
- Research and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Prepare and solicit bid proposals; evaluate bid responses, negotiate pricing, and select supplier(s)
- Issue purchase orders to support stock or customer requirements
- Maintain and review records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
- Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
- Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time, and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
- Review catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and Internet sites and consult with other department personnel to locate necessary goods and services.
- Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions and price trends
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Assess, manage, and mitigate risks, with sufficient communication to organization to elicit as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, & COMPETENCIES
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience, or 5 years in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
- High energy and flexibility with demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to prioritize and manage a broad range of responsibilityAdditional Competencies
