Working Foreman Job Description
- Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman.
- Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions.
- Assisting with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals.
- Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced crew members.
- Safely using tools and equipment like chippers and chainsaws to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring all sites are kept clean and free of hazards.
- Inspecting equipment and tools and performing repairs and maintenance when required.
- Using the appropriate gear and observing safety protocols.
- Reporting any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman or other relevant parties.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned,
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/ Working Environment
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) lbs., bend stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies and other items to be handled,
- Exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Certifications:
- CDL is preferred but not required
- CPR/First Aid Certification,
- Certified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) is a plus.
Other Experience:
- Experience in Forestry, Arboriculture or Horticulture a plus,
- Tree Identification skills and the ability to read maps preferred,
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to multitask and attention to detail,
- Must be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $43.90 per hour
