Remote Work Position
Aerial Recovery Group is a full-spectrum emergency management firm. The mission of Aerial Recovery Group is to save lives through risk mitigation, effective response, and accelerated recovery. Our highly trained experts work alongside government agencies and communities as force multipliers to prepare, respond, and recover after a natural disaster.
Our operations intern will report directly to our Director of Operations and CEO and assist in all aspects of strategy and execution for Aerial Recovery Group.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
Helping to design and execute the strategy for Aerial Recovery Group's operations around the world
Contribute insights and expertise to deliverables for ARG clients, including but not limited to crisis preparation plans, consulting on recon / safety / security issues, and more
Coordinating the logistics of getting Aerial Recovery Group staff and Aerial elite volunteers into disaster zones, including coordination with Alliance transport members, government disaster agencies, NGOs and more
Leading volunteer outreach and oversee completion of volunteer training to identify key volunteers for emergency situations
Assist in the buildout of all Aerial Recovery Group Services, including :
Mission teams and mission-critical plans / documents
Assist Director of Operations in identifying Alliance members and vendors for Aerial's operations and projects
Help identify key regions for Aerial and manage responses to RFPs and grant opportunities
Attending required trainings
What We're Looking For :
Willing to travel in response to disasters and emergencies
Experience in photo / video capture and creation
24 months operational time on a team with at least 1 combat deployment
Leadership experience and ability to lead a team of up to 10 members
Experience working with external third parties included but not limited to law enforcement agencies, private security corporations, security and disaster management vendors
A strong team player and communicator with experience working with diverse groups and high-level stakeholders
Self-starter who thrives in flexible, fast-moving environments
International experience required with proven ability to be culturally sensitive
Passionate about developing nations
