What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Visual Observer (VO) position at Aerial Patrol LLC?
Aerial Patrol, LLC is seeking UAS Operations Crewmembers for the inspection of powerlines and pipelines in Arkansas and surrounding states using drones. Applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- 21 years old
- 20-20 corrected vision in both eyes
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Possess, or be able to obtain, an FAA Part 107 UAS Remote Pilot certification
The job requires completing training in vehicle, trailer, and UTV operations, as well as other skills and knowledge areas before commencing field work. The field work is conducted year-round along utility rights-of-way traversing all types of terrain. Obviously, the applicant must be in good physical condition to perform this work. The work also requires personnel to complete pre-mission planning and other paperwork each day and reports after each mission using company computer software. Crewmembers work in pairs and often are required to spend several consecutive nights away from home each week. Close teamwork and comradery is a necessity.
