Summer Position - Pesticide Handler and Visual Observer

Aerial Vegetation & Imagery Solutions, LLC is seeking highly motivated individuals for summer employment opportunities. This position will support the company's mission to deliver efficient and targeted brush management solutions using cutting-edge spray drone technology. Position Details

• Location: Uvalde and surrounding counties.
• Duration: 45 to 60 days (temporary summer position).
• Schedule: Flexible schedule to accommodate summer school or other commitments.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform spot pesticide applications using backpack sprayers to control invasive species
• Conduct fieldwork on foot, navigating creek and riverbanks on both private and public lands.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. over uneven terrain with dense vegetation for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in temperatures often exceeding 100°F; early morning start times are typical.
• Safely pull and back trailers.

The position also includes opportunities to:

• Serve as Visual Observer for spray drone operations, ensuring safety, charging/swapping drone batteries, and assisting the drone operator.
• Mix and prepare pesticides according to label instructions, and safely transfer them to the drone’s spray tanks.
• Gain experience with ranch and animal husbandry work.

Qualifications

• Previous pesticide experience is preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to perform duties in challenging outdoor environments.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate and back trailers safely.

• Pesticide safety
• Pesticide record-keeping
• Proper pesticide application techniques

Housing or housing allowance can be provided. Compensation is highly competitive.
