Program Manager III

AERMOR is seeking a seasoned Program Manager III to lead complex defense-related programs, ensuring the successful delivery of mission-critical objectives in alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing major technical support contracts, preferably for the U.S. Navy, and a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams across cybersecurity, engineering, and research and development initiatives.

This role requires expertise in program lifecycle management, risk mitigation, contract compliance, budgeting, and reporting. The Program Manager III will be responsible for driving program execution, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring contractual obligations are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of major technical support contracts, ensuring compliance with DoD contract management standards, with a focus on Navy contractual processes
• Lead program planning, execution, and performance monitoring across cybersecurity mission areas, engineering projects, and research and development initiatives
• Manage technical teams, develop cost estimates, create project schedules, and prepare status and budget reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
• Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies throughout the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity projects
• Ensure effective collaboration between all stakeholders, including subcontractors, government representatives, and technical teams
• Oversee subcontractor management, including subcontractor selection, coordination, performance monitoring, and contract compliance
• Mitigate project risks and ensure that the program adheres to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints
• Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, including government customers and internal leadership, to ensure alignment and transparency
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
• Engineering
• Business/IT Management
• Cybersecurity
• Similar technical or management-related field
  
  

• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of full-time professional Program Management experience
• At least ten (10) years of full-time experience in DoD contract management, including the management of major technical support contracts (preferably for the U.S. Navy), demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the Navy’s contractual processes
• A minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in each of the following areas:
• Managing technical teams, including developing cost estimates, creating schedules, preparing status reports, and generating budget reports
• Identifying, tracking, monitoring, and communicating project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies during the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity projects
• Engaging in cybersecurity mission areas, engineering, and research and development efforts
• Managing subcontractors, including oversight of subcontractor activities and performance (if subcontracting is proposed)
