We are currently looking to add a QC Manager to the team! Our typical office hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
We are looking for someone who has 10 years’ experience in the aerospace industry, ideally with an engineering background. Management experience is a must. This role demands analyzing product quality, development of quality control inspection and interpretation of product quality trends and is responsible for creating and maintaining quality system policies, procedures, quality control process sampling systems, and statistical techniques. As such, this position requires strong technical and analytical background coupled with excellent communication skills with an understanding of aerospace manufacturing process.
Experience:
· Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, surface plates, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
· Highly proficient in blueprint reading.
· Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
· Developing safety and quality standards, budgets and timelines and ensuring projects comply with these regulations.
· Assisting with special projects and/or providing technical advice.
· Staying current on industry developments, technology, materials, trends, and regulations.
· Fundamental understanding of a quality system, documentation, and implementation to AS9100 for Internal processes and a working knowledge of AS9102 for inspection of part specific product.
· Detail oriented, organized and highly motivated.
· Providing support and documentation of quality, inspection, and production processes on complex aerospace parts.
· CMM experience a plus but not required.
· Management of a team of 4 or more.
Job Duties:
· Must be knowledgeable with NADCAP Composites and Chemical Processing.
· Must be proficient at doing Gap Analysis of company processes and procedures and OEM requirements.
· Writing any internal procedures, based on the customer requirements, to fill any gaps discovered during the Gap Analysis.
· Must be willing to train front line employees who will be working on OEM specific parts.
· Must have a basic knowledge of First Part Qualifications and any reports associated with their completion.
· Must be comfortable being the focal for various OEM customers.
· Must be able to review AS9102 FAIR for completeness ensuring all customer requirements, material certifications and dimensional characteristics are documented and met.
· Must be able to determine containment and countermeasures to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
· Must be proficient at Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone or Ishikawa methods.
· Responsible for ensuring that all parts and components meet or exceed safety and quality standards.
· Verify all prior operations are complete and signed off on the job traveler before acceptance.
