Responsibilities
This is a entry level position that requires advanced knowledge of computer aided design tools and techniques to perform a variety of design engineering related tasks. Carries out routine, moderate, and complex design tasks requiring extensive skill and knowledge of equipment capabilities, application techniques, and design limitations. Utilizes standard and best practice CAD techniques, mathematical calculations, and customer specifications to prepare accurate engineering documentation. Performs work assignments typified by their complexity and non-routine nature where established techniques and procedures may not exist. Maintains technical coordination with engineering and design staff members.
Complies and conducts business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Promotes ethical behavior by acting with honesty and integrity.
Qualifications
Responsibilities & Skills
· Responsible for managing engineering changes from creation through release in PDM & MRP systems.
· Manages and maintains BOMs.
· Reviews designs against contractual requirements as part of the contract review process.
· PDM and MRP administration.
· Knowledge of GD&T.
· Ability to perform complex tolerance stack-ups.
· Accessing customer portals as it relates to documentation notification and/or approvals.
· SolidWorks experience is a must.
· Previous experience using PDM and MRP applications is desired.
· Experience with FAA and design authority compliance is desired but not required.
· Previous aerospace experience is desired but not required.
Preferred Education / Experience
Training in CAD operation and/or College CAD Design Certificate or equivalent experience.
