Dock Associate / Backup Driver - (1114-A)

The outlook for the company is strong as it continues to set higher goals for sustained success.     Position Summary   The Dock Associate / Backup Driver will handle the receiving dock duties on a daily basis, as well as be a backup driver to safely and independently deliver and pick up parts at various facilities, when the primary driver is unavailable. Previous dock and driving experience for a manufacturing company is required.       Essential Functions   ·         Load and unload trucks.   ·         Deliver parts to appropriate business units.   ·         Frequent use of forklift and pallet jack.   ·         Create pallets for suppliers and shipments.   ·         Oiling and washing parts, as well as maintaining organization of receiving area and dock.   ·         Safely deliver and pick up parts at various supplier facilities when primary driver is unavailable.   ·         Other activities, duties or responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.       Competencies   ·         Highly self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised   ·         Dependable   ·         Professional   ·         Multi-tasking capability   ·         Detail-oriented       Experience and Education   ·         Manufacturing dock experience is required.   ·         Previous manufacturing driving is a strong preference.   ·         High school diploma or equivalent required.       Supervisory Responsibility   This position has no supervisory responsibilities.       Physical Demands   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
