Position Summary
The QMS Specialist will plan and conduct activities concerned with the Aero Gear’s Quality Management System.
Essential Functions

· Maintain and control the updating of Aero Gear’s QMS procedures and forms:
o Procedure and form management.
o Incorporate new specifications.
o Manage standard work (Wiki) creation and updating.
· Lead audit activities for Aero Gear, including:
o Schedule and manage external audits.
o Host auditors.
o Coordinate closure of any audit noncompliance.
o Manage internal audit schedule and conduct internal audits.
· Oversee the implementation of change management:
o Manage specification revision evaluation and incorporation.
o Review and distribute all customer Quality alerts / Quality updates.
· Manage company eye exam and visual inspection calibrations.
· Oversee the control and archiving of Quality records.
Competencies
· Organized and detail-oriented.
· Process-driven.
Experience and Education
· High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus.
· Certified auditor a plus.
Skills
· Working knowledge and experience working with, auditing to, and managing systems aligned with AS9100, NADCAP, AS13100, etc.
· Assess risk and suggest changes.
· Capable of preparing and following through with audits of all types and scope.
· Ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization.
· Strong written and verbal communication.
Programs
· MS Office.
· OASIS and NADCAP databases.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Authorization
