Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

Aero Instruments and Avionics, Inc. is an FAA Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft, instruments, and avionics. We are currently looking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for efficiently and accurately packing customers' orders while maintaining quality and speed to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely and secure manner. Additionally, you will be expected to receive and unpack shipments while verifying accuracy with packing slips.

Responsibilities:

• Unpack and verify shipments from customers and vendors.
• Submit verified packing lists for processing.
• Process order shipments using ERP system and applicable shipping software.
• Ensure that incoming/outgoing items are accurate.
• Provide photos of customer items once packaged for shipment.
• Communicate and collaborate with other internal departments.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills required. (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Ability to stand for an extended period and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred not required; Aviation components experience if possible.
• Experience with ERP System, Quantum or related aviation system preferred.
• Positive attitude. Adjust to continuous change, ability to shift focus to new task while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals.
• Ability to interact well with all levels of an organization.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently, organize, and prioritize.

Additional Information:

• Background check is required.
• This is a full time, non-exempt position.
• Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour DOE.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
• This position is located in Depew, NY. Relocation assistance is not available.
