Job Description:
As a CNC Programmer you will be meeting daily targets to ensure due dates are accomplished.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient CNC programs: Work closely with engineering and production teams to convert 2D and 3D CAD designs into efficient CNC programs using software such as Master CAM.
- Program complex CNC machines: Create programs that optimize the use of CNC machines by selecting appropriate tool paths, machining strategies, and cutting parameters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Liaise with engineers, technicians, and production workers to identify potential manufacturing issues and provide updates on program status and progress.
- Continuous process improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and suggest modifications to optimize CNC machining operations, reduce scrap, enhance productivity, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Maintain program documentation.
- Quality assurance: Conduct thorough verification and post-processing checks to ensure accuracy, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with design specifications.
- CNC software proficiency: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC software such as, Master CAM, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) and good understanding of CNC machining principles and parameters.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Problem-solving abilities: Excellent analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot CNC programming issues and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to work with a focus on precision, accuracy, and adherence to tight tolerances.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Adaptability and time management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work towards deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
