Job Description Utilize and integrate big data analysis to demonstrate process capability and suggest improvements. Manage automated data collection tools and collaborate with global teams to ensure data accuracy and collection. Assist in developing models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze process data and capacity models. Lead and assist training of Safran Landing Systems personnel with the statistical tools necessary to control the various processes. Collaborate with process engineers to report and analyze data results through clear data visualization tools to global customers. Assist in developing measurement methods for controlling parts in production according to proper control plan guidelines. Program coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) according to design definition / specifications and industry standards Key contributor to the industrialization process and deliverables (PPAP) PFMEA, control plans, inspection plans, measurement system analysis, etc. Develop optimized control plan strategies through risk-based analysis and statistical / process capability analysis. Autonomously perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) for serial production and development parts. Propose / define measurement improvements for equipment, methods and / or tools. Develop future measurement strategies new technology, new equipment, new systems, etc. Work with other Safran Engineers / Sites and the Design Office to develop, share and implement measurement best practices. Provide complete and accurate documentation required for aircraft component production including work instructions, standard operating procedures, first article reports, qualification reports, etc. Submit ideas to support continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Follow all procedures administered by safety, quality, process engineering, and facilities engineering. Perform other related duties as required
Perform duties requiring kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds periodically Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline (technical related engineering degree preferred) 3 or more years' experience or relevant training in data analysis and process capability analysis 3 or more years' experience in related manufacturing processes (machining experience preferred) CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming experience Working knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
