The Facilities Engineer II will contribute to team efforts by defining the scope, producing schematic drawings/specifications, reviewing subcontractor deliverables, and supporting equipment work packages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Define scope and creation of 3D models of building elements and work flows. Produce request for quote (RFQ) integrating all technical & quality specifications. Produce mechanical, and electrical schematic drawings & specifications. Creating conceptual building drawings including site plans, floor plans, cross-sections, elevations, and drawing schedules; Support evaluation and negotiation with outside design & construction suppliers. Lead design charrettes and design review meetings. Produce and conceptual building drawings with equipment requirements & interfaces. Liaise with local architect/engineer(s) during design development. Support management of construction services through the review of subcontractor deliverables, requests for information, deviation requests, shop and as-built drawings, and construction documentation. Support equipment work packages by producing engine handling path studies, equipment stuck-up studies, equipment installation method statements. Conduct facility and equipment inspections and make recommendations for upgrades. Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures. Perform facility inspections and make recommendations for upgrades. Support after-hour phone calls and meetings as required. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline required. 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience required. Qualifications: Strong knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD, 3D solid modeling, and MS Office applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable delivering a positive customer service and team experience. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met. Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task, prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment while exercising initiative and judgment as well as making decisions within scope of assigned authority. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills including problem identification, analysis, action planning and execution. Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required. Knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations with a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles. Ability to prepare architectural drawings and specifications and determine compliance of structures/equipment to specifications.
