Mission description
Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates Reviews open sales orders to determine customer requirements. Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule. Supports the purchasing team. Expedite suppliers purchase orders if required. Utilize ERP system to auto-generate manufacturing work orders. Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages. Notify sales team of any schedule impacts to customers. Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved. Completes status reports, such as materials inventory. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Analyze the impact of production anomalies and, if necessary, re-plan production orders. Analyze the impact of requests for technical developments, within your area of activity, and implement the associated action plan, after requests are validated. Update data in the various information systems, within your area of activity. Update KPIs, within your area of activity. Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture. Regular, predictable attendance is required. Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge of the site's organization. Detailed vision of local workshop and subcontractor production processes and procurement flows Knowledge of MRP II processes. Basic knowledge of corporate economics. Proficiency in information systems (ERP and ideally MES/manufacturing execution systems). Proficiency in office tools. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, within your unit and with other departments at the site. Know how to sound timely warnings at the right level (line manager, MPS scheduler, procurement, etc.). Ability to make the right decisions. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to negotiate with internal contacts. Ability to analyze a problem involving internal and external parties, find the root cause and propose solutions. Ability to analyze information provided by other departments and assess the importance of variances and their consequences.
