Mission description

Location: Twinsburg, OH or Sarasota, FL Summary Reports directly to the SPQM Director and functionally to the Purchasing Division Director and is in charge of the implementation of the Supplier Performance management strategy on his/her perimeter. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Main Responsabilities : ? Responsible for the management and leadership of his team ? Responsible of the assessment, approvals and monitoring of suppliers. ? Reports on a monthly basis the results, risks, projects and general information relative to the suppliers to the Divisional Operational Committee. Main activities : ? Support the development of suppliers (Supplier Development) ? Flowdown performance targets to the team ? Define Supplier Development key targets based on business requirements and Manage their flow down and implementation ? Define the Supplier Surveillance Plan and the Audit schedule ? Monitor and communicate Supplier performance actions and plans ( Risks and mitigation plan, supplier production readiness… ) ? Monitor supplier escalation in case of supplier misperformance. ? Ensure the reporting to the Divisional top management and corporate ? Coordinate the visit of Supplier Field Engineer to the supplier Team Management Manage the Supplier Performance and/or Field Engineering team to achieve main objectives and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the purchasing & procurement process. Define and execute Team members development plan Sustain a Customer driven philosophy within the SPQM organization that fosters Operational Excellence, Lean/Six-Sigma Initiatives, Continuous Improvement and Best Practices Management of interfaces Manage a regular communication flow towards its internal customers on the Suppliers performance situation, recovery and development plans that are launched to support Division operations Address and provide visibility on supplier major event steering activities Support the Customer Service teams and Program for Customers request and event Contribute in strategic sourcing / award decisions Support Purchasing group for non-performance cost recovery efforts Supplier Relationship Communicate and document Division Supplier Quality and Performance Targets to the appropriate top management counterparts at Suppliers. Ensure Supplier management commitment to the Targets Tools processes methodologies Propose and implement new or enhanced processes and procedures Ensure, deploy, maintain and improve appropriate methods and tools to follow and develop the Supplier base Implement relevant Supplier Key Performance Indicators to properly monitor supplier performance in accordance to Safran corporate standards Manage the Purchasing Quality System in order to have an up-to-date and comprehensive set of procedures.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture; Regular, predictable attendance is required; Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Knowledge Safran requirements & documentary system including quality standards Supply-chain principles and tools, lean-sigma Strong Quality Principles and tools including audits Lean Manufacturing background including problem solving, process audit, lean manufacturing workshops Good data analytics skills (large database & digital tools) Knowledge of ERP software (SAP) Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite Fluent English Spanish, French is a plus Skills Team management Priorities management and Ability to manage conflicts (internally & externally) Power of persuasion and ability to negotiate Excellent written and verbal communication skills Executive presence and Ability to drive successful supplier relationships and to represent the company externally Change management Master intercultural relationship Listening, sense of the field, pragmatic Rigor, spirit of analysis and synthesis Team player and Coaching Innovative / Solution-oriented Education and/or Experience Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Purchasing or related field, 3 years of experience with a Quality System, and 2 years materials and/or purchasing and /or lean manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Requires 3 years management or supervisory experience Supervisory Responsibilities List the supervisory responsibilities this position must perform; include the department or position titles responsible for and the level of authority exercised in performing the responsibilities.
