The Customer Account Manager (CAM) position is a highly-visible, developmental role responsible for the oversight and management of customer relationships. The CAM oversees customer accounts to ensure contractual compliance while safeguarding profitability and operational efficiency. The scope of this position includes: developing and maintaining customer relationships, regular sales and booking analysis including OEM, aftermarket and all programs, supports Business Unit Managers in establishing the yearly business plan, overseeing activities to ensure customer service and price objectives are met, contract negotiation and other business-related activities. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the customer’s account and relationship
  • Collaborates with Business Unit Manager (BUM) and departments in meeting contractual commitments, production schedules and in resolving problems
  • Ensure compliance to customer contractual requirements
  • Review and negotiate contracts
  • Review and approve all cost estimates and price quotations
  • Monitor, contest, and improve customer account scorecard data
  • Perform detailed quantitative analysis of sales and bookings data and prepares regular (monthly, quarterly, and annual) reports and forecasts on current and future performance of the product line for management
  • Assist the BUM in collecting and analyzing data to create the annual business plan
  • As a member of the Customer Support Team (CST) works as part of a team to address all product line issues including production, engineering, delivery, sales, and quality
  • Help prepare and present CST updates to the Staff and President on product line performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum related experience. Aerospace, manufacturing, and/or engineering experience a plus.
  • Quantitative business experience desired including technical sales, engineering, finance and operations
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft office software (particularly strong in Excel)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solution-oriented perspective on problems

  • Strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time with a sense of urgency
  • Strong business acumen

  • Considerable knowledge of ERP systems, systematic methods, and standard practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Manage and prioritize multiple programs for maximum value creation

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in business, management or engineering
  • Requires occasional travel (approximately 1-3 per year) with minimal advanced notice
