AeroControlex is seeking a motivated Material Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the coordination of services provided by external vendors. This role involves communication with external vendors and service providers to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The coordinator is expected to manage service schedules, resolve service-related issues, negotiate pricing and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns in a timely manner. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, select, and manage relationships with outside vendors and service providers
- Create and maintain a directory of approved vendors, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and certifications
- Ensure external services meet the required quality standards, timelines, and cost parameters
- Manage the scheduling and tracking of outside services which includes cutting PO’s, scheduling ACX driver, status updates from vendors, expediting and receiving of completed PO’s
- Collaborate with internal teams, including planning, production and engineering to ensure timely execution of outside services
- Main point of contact for all external processing. Works with internal teams when issues arise to resolve in a timely manner
- Ensure that all external services are documented accurately and comply with relevant standards
- Review and analyze vendor performance, and provide feedback or corrective actions when necessary
- Act as the primary liaison for resolving issues related to outside services
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to outside processing promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the production schedule
- Monitor and control costs related to outside services ensuring the best value without compromising quality
- Negotiate service contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure competitive rates and favorable terms for the company
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 plus years of experience in manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to take full ownership of job responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Education:
- HS diploma or equivalent or Tech School Certificate
- Bachelor Degree in supply chain management, business management or related field preferred
