- Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required
- BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- 12 years of relevant experience in systems engineering
- Knowledge of space systems, aerospace engineering, or software development.
- Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model-based systems engineering.
- Knowledge of human spaceflight safety standards (where applicable)
- Must have understanding of ethernet network architecture and network hardware technology Layer 2 and Layer 3.
- Must have understanding of interfaces protocols applicable in Avionics such as MIL 1553, Serial RS232/RS422/RS485, SpaceWire.
- Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical, electrical, communications system design.
- Should be familiar with Hardware for Critical Network Timing Systems used in Command and Telemetry type systems.
- Should be familiar with Data Analysis, Data Recording, and Network Simulation Tools.
- Should have experience with verification automation test and analysis tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Linux Bash Scripting).
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
- Experience working in a team environment.
Requisition Preferences:
- Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork
- Experience with NASA processes.
- Knowledge FPGA/ASIC development and hardware/software engineering and testing.
- INCOSE System Engineer Certifications

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
