What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Process Engineer position at Aerofab Division of Tube Processing Corporation?

The Process Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to repair, assemble, process, test and/or manufacture of the company’s products and customer products.
Essential Job Functions
- Work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to identify needs for process improvements and provide engineering solutions to identified problems
- Track costs and create success stories for provided fixes
- Work with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to implement tool use instructions into process routings
- Ownership of product life cycle from PO receipt from Customer through shipment of product and maintain follow-on production. This includes BOM creation, tooling development, creating and maintaining processes using routings and operation sheets, providing shop technical support through development and production, providing procurement, inventory control, and quality through NPI cycle
- Ability to communicate both internally and externally with customers to relay technical information and provide program management support
- Follow quality system procedures as required
Requirements
- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent
- Five years minimum of relative experience is required; including prior tool design and process engineering experience
- The ideal candidate must have a strong background in machining, blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretation
- Must possess 3D (Siemens NX) and AutoCAD experience
- Must possess knowledge of Microsoft office products (word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

- Knowledge of PPAP or other processes related to product introduction
- Knowledge of part configuration using ERP/MRP software
- Knowledge of measurement tools and methods (calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, CMM, etc.)
