- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications
- Program and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and precise bending angles and dimensions
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials, tools, and techniques
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
