The Opportunity

The Clinical Manager will oversee the Nutrition Services team, ensuring high-quality patient care through telehealth services. This role involves leading the team, managing clinical operations, and supporting patients by providing evidence-based nutrition counseling and interventions.

Location: Remote

Licensure Requirements:

Candidates holding multiple state licenses or who are willing to get additional licenses are preferred.

Desired state licenses: AL, FL, GA, IL, KY, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN

Hours: Scheduling is flexible but availability of 10-29 hours per week is required.

Rate: $45-60/hour

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Registered Dietitians to deliver high-quality patient care via telehealth.
• Oversee the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring they are evidence-based and tailored to individual patient needs.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review patient cases, share best practices, and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and policies.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including conducting telehealth consultations and follow-ups.
• Maintain timely and comprehensive electronic medical records using HIPAA-compliant software.
• Coordinate the scheduling of initial and follow-up patient care sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality.

• A high degree of comfort with technology as the program is 100% telehealth.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, warm, and timely manner, within the team and with patients via email, text, audio, and video systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to meet patients of different lifestyles and abilities, and in different stages of change, where they are.

Required Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Registered Dietitian certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Registered with the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH).
• Candidates must possess current Professional Liability Insurance or must be willing to obtain such insurance prior to the commencement of employment.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical management role.
• Experience with telehealth services.
• Ability to work daytime, and weekday hours (evenings or weekends, in addition, are a plus).
• Must have a computer with reliable internet access and a private space from which to see patients.
• Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. 
• Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance 
• Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality

You might also have

• Familiarity with Healthie.
• Experience with offering group classes.
• Understanding of counseling techniques such as motivational interviewing.
• A coaching certification with NBHWC preferred.
• Experience with offering Diabetes Self-Management Training (DSMT).
