The Opportunity
Our Mom and Baby Billing department specializes in providing maternity related medical equipment billed through insurance. You will be responsible for assisting our patients with any billing related issue or question through incoming phone calls or emails.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits
- Resolve any billing discrepancies related to patient billing
- Solve problems and find innovative solutions
- Take patient payments and set up payment plans
- Make and receive phone calls with a professional demeanor
- Respond to incoming emails from patients or other representatives
- Collaborate with other Customer Experience representatives and Billing Specialists
- Monitor incoming patient communication to identify trends and discuss findings with the potential of reporting up to management
- Provide a personalized service depending on the patient need
- Organize and keep relevant notes from interactions with patients
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
- Maintain HIPAA / patient confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned
Skills for Success
