Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Project Engineer
Pay range: $85,000 - $115,000 annually
Schedule: Monday- Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Review military, commercial, and aerospace/defense contracts.
- Coordinate with shop leads to determine manufacturing plans.
- Coordinate with Electronics Lab for avionic repairs.
- Prepare quotes for repairs.
- Review drawings, engineering document packages, part markings, packaging, and government/commercial specifications.
- Create in-depth job templates with detailed operation instructions for detail parts or assemblies.
- Work with purchasing/vendors as needed to determine routing requirements for special processes.
- Use ERP software to integrate drawing/engineering data requirements and contract exceptions into complete component trees, indentured Bills of Materials, and part travelers.
- Support Project Planners with technical issues and update templates as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Skills:
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes.
- Any ERP/MRP system and/or JobBOSS knowledge preferred.
- Solid Modeling a plus with SolidWorks.
Experience: 2 years in an Engineering field with electronics experience.
Training: On the job training.

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills, California is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning, sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, autoclave, and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical applications, militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Customers include the US Military, Boeing, Lockheed, Sikorsky, etc.
