Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm, overtime as required and approved

Summary: Entry Level Technician Position - Responsible for performing skilled tasks in the service, maintenance, and repair of airplane wheels and braking systems, by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Deflate tires. *
  • Responsible for breaking torque and bead of tires. *
  • Removes bearings and related hardware including bolts, washers, and nuts. *
  • Cleans hardware and wheels in an aqueous or solvent based machine. *
  • Removes paint occasionally with a dry system such as bead blast. *
  • Operates heavy-duty hydraulic jacks and other equipment to perform wheel maintenance functions. *
  • Assists other departments when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

  • Ability to work cooperatively within timelines provided and meet production requirements assigned.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Background Check Required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
