Our customers include the major manufacturers of today’s civil, military and business fixed wing and rotorcraft platforms as well as all branches of the US military forces. We are currently seeking an on-site Supplier Quality Engineer for our Clearwater, FL facility.

Job Summary
Responsible for providing leadership and quality manufacturing expertise to facilitate, mentor and drive continuous improvement philosophies, process improvements and company wide corrective actions. Support the supply chain in selection and qualification of suppliers and owns processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers on quality assurance processes and procedures for continuous improvement and product performance
- Perform process reviews, first article reviews and witness testing at supplier facilities to ensure procured product meets drawings, specifications, processes and statement work requirements
- Provides engineering and technical assistance to suppliers to establish, compile, produce and analyze quality reports as needed
- Participate and conduct audits, internal and external, which may include developing an audit plan, audit results and corrective/preventative actions
- Assisting Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system and quality functions to ensure compliance to AS9100
- 10% Travel
Education/Previous Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Aerospace, Systems or related
- A minimum of two years experience in quality/engineering or five plus years manufacturing experience in a quality function
- Experience with configuration management and product life cycles
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 & AS9102 First Article Requirements and documentation and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Familiarity with blueprints & GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 Standards
- Six Sigma Green belt or higher
- Strong background with brazing and welding standards
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
