The Quality Inspector is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt Team Member committed to the highest ethical behavior, and maintaining quality and safety standards by inspecting and approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished components.

Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt Team Member committed to the highest ethical behavior, and maintaining quality and safety standards by inspecting and approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products by:
- Confirming specifications
- Conducting visual and measurement tests
- Utilizing advanced metrology equipment
- Rejecting, returning, and tracking unacceptable materials
- Works closely with the Quality Manager on non-conformance and corrective actions under AS9100
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Assembles AS9102 first article documentation for Government and customer source inspections
- Follows operating instructions for all measurement equipment and calls for necessary repairs
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standard operating procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years combined formal training or past work experience as a quality inspector in the aerospace manufacturing industry
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to accurately measure components utilizing calibrated measuring equipment
- Capable of analyzing information
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented individual
- Able to work efficiently when under pressure
- Positive, proactive self-starter who can work independently or with a team
- Understands, values, and develops the interrelationship between Quality and other departments
- Strong quality inspection experience and/or formal quality inspection training
- Mechanical aptitude
- Assembly inspection experience
- Familiar with JobBoss or similar manufacturing software
- Familiar with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
- Experience with FaroArm, Micro-Hite, ROMER Arm, or CMMs
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) experience
- F-16 inspection experience
- A variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
- Able to manipulate parts and tools
