What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner position at Aerostar International, LLC?
Essential Functions:
- Review master schedule requirements and coordinate with Master Scheduler dates for timely release of orders.
- Establishes customer priority with Master Scheduler for production floor and materials.
- May release orders to production to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customer.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to assure orders are delivered on time to production.
- Relieve manufacturing order to inventory.
- Pick and issue material required for manufacturing orders.
- Perform cycle and inventory counts of raw materials and inventory locations as required.
- Transport materials or finished products between work centers, or to appropriate storage locations.
- Coordinate schedule with departments involved in the process to meet scheduled ship dates.
- Provide communication to team when issues arise regarding ship dates or material shortages.
- May lead or support department improvement initiatives.
- May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
- Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum 2 years related experience required; or experience in lieu of education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing requirements and procedures.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) is helpful.
- High level of service and organization.
- Ability to be flexible and multitask. Creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Proficiency with use of a computer, including Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
- Willingness to become forklift certified.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
