About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Quality Engineer at Aerostar Manufacturing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all stages of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Support new product/process development and manufacturing through the application of quality engineering techniques.
- Develop and implement quality control plans to ensure products meet quality standards consistent with customer and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze quality issues, and develop corrective actions.
- Conduct audits and assessments of manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Provide training to associates on quality-related topics to improve awareness of product quality.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Full understanding and deductive reasoning with root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Background & expertise in PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and Launch is required.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project.
- Must have a professional persona with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- This position of Quality Engineer is in a CNC production machining and assembly facility producing automotive parts.
- Knowledge of CNC machining industry.
- Insure full corporate compliance with IATF 16949 quality standard.
