What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Helper position at Aerotek?
Description: Looking for electrical helpers to assist in the fitting out of a retirement community in Moorestown NJ. Must have some experience in commercial and residential wiring including new installations, repairs, motors, controls, 3phase, and Single phase from 120/240 - 277/480. NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO START MONDAY 8/7!
Must haves..
- troubleshooting with all types of electrical systems and be able to repair LED, fluorescent, and MH lighting.
- bending conduit
- install electrical boxes
- run wire
Duties..
- performs new construction and repair work on building electrical systems, branch circuitry, lighting, fire alarm systems, main electrical distribution up to 15kv, electrical control circuits, motor control centers, etc
- performs minor renovations to building spaces. For each project, estimates time, materials, and labor required to perform specific tasks. Coordinates other assignments and prioritizes work as needed.
- troubleshoots, repairs and installs fire alarm system components to include pull stations, smoke detectors, horn/strobes, and panel components.
- performs minor electrical work including re-lamping, re-ballasting and repairing light fixtures

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Needs prior construction experience
- Minimum-2years electrical field experience
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Trade School a plus
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good work ethic.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Be dependable and take pride in your work
- Must be attentive to safety
- Clean driver's license record required and your own vehicle.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment and hand tools
