Aerowood is excited to hire a Director of Flight Operations for our flight school! We are now taking resumes for this full time leadership role. Aerowood has been fortunate enough to see steady growth over the past decade and we see this position as being a vital part in the next step of the company. This person would be in charge of most aspects of Aerowood Aviation’s flight school.
Job Responsibilities
Creating and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) amongst instructors, students, and renters
Keeping the Flight Operations Manual (FOM) up to date with additions and edits of SOPs
Monitoring the maintenance status of the fleet and coordinating with Aerowood Service Center to ensure maximum fleet availability
Maintaining cleanliness of fleet in coordination with sister company, Aircraft Detail
Ensuring syllabi are properly followed and the standard of stage checks are properly met
Monitoring renter requirement compliance in conjunction with Customer Service Representatives
Conducting monthly safety meetings with CFIs to discuss a key topic and new developments
Performing admin roles for Cirrus Aircraft training program
Employee management
Keeping the amount of certified flight instructors (CFIs) at a necessary level to match the demand of the flight school
Onboarding and standardization of CFIs
Forwarding the growth of the flight school
Exploring part 141 opportunities
Continued expansion of our part 135 Pilot Development Program in conjunction with our sister company, Charter Jet Transport

Job Requirements:
Must hold at least a private pilot certificate for fixed wing aircraft
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Will be required to pass a DOT required drug, alcohol, and background check prior to employment and randomly after employment
